A highly accurate and easy to handle manually operated coordinate measuring arm can be equipped with a variety of touch trigger and laser scanning probes

Metris has launched its MCA (Manual Coordinate measuring Arm). It is a highly accurate and easy to handle measurement arm. It uses lightweight components and innovative design to produce a portable articulated arm that can be used just as easily in the metrology laboratory as on the shop floor.

The manual coordinate measuring arm supports a wide range of measurement tasks, as it can be equipped with a variety of touch trigger and laser scanning probes.

The ergonomic design and on-site calibration capability of Metris MCA consistently keep measurement up-time at maximum level.

The Metris MCA arm becomes available in two variants.

M6 (Metrology 6-axis) variants provide superior accuracy for true metrology applications, whereas I6 (Industrial 6-axis) variants are suited for all-purpose 3D inspection and reverse engineering applications.

The emphasis of the Metris MCA is clearly on accuracy and productivity, said the company in a report to Manufacturingtalk.
