A portable 13in wood planer features double-sided quick-change blade and a chip removal indicator that saves time by accurately determining desired chip removal before planing
Metabo, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has added a portable 13in planer to its new line of benchtop woodworking tools. With a large table length of 12in x33in providing a stable work area, the DH 316 13in x 6.1/4in Portable Thickness Planer is ideal for turning rough lumber into finished stock for building or reducing lumber to a recommended or preferred thickness.
The DH 316 planer features double-sided quick-change blade and a chip removal indicator that saves time by accurately determining desired chip removal before the actual planing process, eliminating time consuming trials.
Eight preset depth stops ensure fast and accurate planning to standard thicknesses of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1.1/4, 1.1/2 and 1.3/4in.
The new planer includes a lock-out safety switch, plus the planer head locks while changing blades, for additional safety.
