With Algor DesignCheck, Pro/Engineer users can virtually test the behaviour of product designs, speed up time to market and make better, safer products at a lower cost.

Algor has released the Algor DesignCheck first-pass, fully integrated simulation tool for users of Pro/Engineer, the integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution from PTC Algor DesignCheck is free, time-limited finite element analysis (FEA) software that allows engineers and designers to perform linear static stress analysis of single-part CAD models.

With Algor DesignCheck, Pro/Engineer users can virtually test the behaviour of product designs, speed up time to market and make better, safer products at a lower cost.

The Fempro single user interface provides direct CAD/CAE data exchange and full associativity with most CAD solid modellers, including Pro/Engineer.

This allows engineers to simply choose the analysis tools they need, giving them access to simulation capabilities including: static stress and mechanical event simulation (MES) with linear and nonlinear material models; linear dynamics; fatigue; CFD including steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow and mass transfer; electrostatics; full multiphysics; and piping.

“Algor DesignCheck allows Pro/Engineer users to perform valuable, production-quality work and experience the benefits of incorporating FEA into the design process”, said Bob Williams, Algor Product Manager.

“After getting started with Algor DesignCheck, Pro/Engineer users can easily upgrade their Algor licence to include additional analysis tools and support for assemblies”.

“After upgrading, they will enjoy all the same features they have used with Algor DesignCheck, including the same easy to use interface so they don’t need to learn a new interface or process in order to take advantage of a broader range of analysis types”.
